This recipe came from an American family friend. Serves 8, apparently.
- 12oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup (4oz) sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- a dash of salt
- ½ cup (4oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
Preheat oven to 325°F. Beat cream cheese and sugar together until smooth. Add eggs, vanilla and salt, beat until well-blended.
Place crust ("chocolate graham cracker", apparently) on baking sheet and pour filling into crust. Drop melted chocolate by teaspoonfuls onto filling. Swirl chocolate into filling with tip of knife. Bake on baking sheet for 25-30 minutes or until knife comes out clean when inserted in centre of pie. Chill for about three hours.
