Given the Wikipedia edit logs for an article, it should be possible to compute a controversy metric for each word -- words that have been edited frequently, especially those that were reverted or edited several times within a short period, get more controversy points. You could then be given the option to display the article with words coloured according to their controversy ratings.

The WikiTrust project seem to have more-or-less implemented this.
