I've got a large collection of Mozilla bookmarks, many of which are several years old. Naturally, quite a lot of them now lead to 404s or redirects. There are Windows tools that'll go through a bookmark collection and automatically weed out those that are out of date.

I'd like a simple command-line tool that I could run weekly from cron to do this for me. One problem is that there's currently no way to tell Mozilla to reload its bookmarks file; you'd need to add a remote interface command to do this (or just make Mozilla stat the file periodically).
