Rebus goes on a training course, leaving partner Siobhan Clarke (who, despite the casting choice in some of the radio versions, isn't Scottish) in charge of investigations in Edinburgh. Kept me sufficiently interested to continue; I suspect I'd find it more interesting a second time through, having read more of the earlier books.
