libstatgrab now provides process-listing facilities sufficient (almost) to implement SuSv3 ps. Tim Bishop and Phill Camp suggested writing a statgrab-tools package that would provide portable implementations of utilities like ps, vmstat, top, pkill, ptree and free based on libstatgrab; this would avoid having to remember different syntaxes when switching between machines.
