Google News collects articles from many sources much like an RSS aggregator such as rawdog does. The interesting feature of Google News is that it relates similar articles, so you can view all the news stories on a particular topic together.
It would be interesting to add similar facilities to rawdog, so it could fold similar items together, or provide navigation between them. The problem isn't quite as hard as it is for Google News, because related articles often refer to the same URLs; a simple test for relatedness is how many URLs two articles have in common.
