Bill Bryson does Australia. This isn't as laugh-out-loud funny as his earlier travel books; it's more a collection of interesting facts and stories along the lines of his "reference" works. Still a good read, and resulted in plenty of Wikipedia-browsing afterwards.
And no, it's not that I haven't done any reading during June and July — it's just that I had an enormous pile of New Scientists, Tape Ops and other assorted periodicals to catch up on, so I've been reading those while moving from one end of the country to the other!
